The 30th International Film Festival Etiuda&Anima starts today. We are waiting for you in Paradox Cinema in Cracow at Krupnicza 38 street – this is where the first day events are taking place!

At 6 p.m. we invite you to the first event of the evening, which is the screening of films created as a matter of International Animation Festival ANIMASYROS.  Animasyros festival began its journey to the world of animation on September 19th 2008. Ever since, the festival takes place annually in the capital of the Cyclades and to this day, it managed to host over 100 000 remarkable guests, thereby becoming one of the biggest festivals of this kind in Europe and the biggest in Greece.  Animasyros was created thanks to the initiative of non-profit organization Platforma-Urban Culture Co, so it could promote the art of animation among the audience, build and support creative meetings and be the centre of vocational meetings for the animation creators on both European and global levels.

During the first event, you will have the opportunity to see eleven incredible film works created by the most promising and the best young Greek film creators, who represent all the competition sections. In Between, A Night at the Cemetery, The Incredible Mrs Lien Mourlen – those are just some of the titles you might find in the repertoire!

At 8 p.m. we planned the second, and at the same time, the last event for this evening, and it is the showing of the Portuguese-Spanish-French film My Grandfather’s Demons, directed by Nuno Beato. It is a beautiful and touching story about Rosa, a successful woman, who works as a designer in a big city. After the unexpected death of her grandfather, she realizes that ever since she had left her homeland, she wasn’t in the place, where she could feel loved.

All of this is waiting for our guests tonight in Paradox Cinema! And what about tomorrow? We have many more Etiudaanima-ish attractions prepared for you! We are talking here about WymiAR exhibition, screenings of films from both Etiuda and Anima competitions, and official inauguration of the festival – all of those events are waiting for you in Małopolski Ogród Sztuki at Rajska 12 street.
