This presentation explores the transformative potential of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies in the fields of healing, mental and physical wellness, therapy, recovery, and convalescence. VR and AR are increasingly being integrated into therapeutic practices, offering immersive experiences that can enhance traditional methods of treatment. In mental health, these technologies enable controlled exposure therapy, stress reduction, and cognitive behavioral interventions in safe, customizable environments. For physical wellness and recovery, VR and AR facilitate innovative rehabilitation exercises, pain management techniques, and patient engagement, accelerating the healing process.
