The exhibition consists of sketches and drawings by Volker Schlecht from his animations (Pink Street, Kaputt/Broken – The Women’s prison at Hoheneck, Kyrie eleison – Transforming Gods, The Waiting).
Volker Schlecht's style is a black and white drawing, naturalistic, sarcastic, made with pen and pencil on paper or similar material, possibly combined with acrylic paints or watercolors.
His favorite topics/motifs: human face and body, still life, politics, ancient mythology, and inspirations: David Hughes, George Grosz, Paul Klee, Albrecht Dürer, Giorgio Morandi, William Kentridge, Klaus Ensikat, Horst Janssen, Jan van Eyck.
