Over the course of three evenings, the most interesting animated films of the past year will be presented. We will present short films that received awards from the Polish Filmmakers Association in 2025 and at the 32nd Etiuda&Anima International Film Festival. We will also screen the "Architects of the Imagination" set – productions by young artists who have won awards for their fresh perspective, originality, and technical prowess. This program provides a dynamic overview of what is most interesting and important in contemporary animation – bold and diverse. On Friday night, we invite you to the surreal world of David Lynch, where it's unclear what should be taken seriously and what should be treated ironically. Meanwhile, during the Saturday night screening, audiences will explore "Bestiary", containing intriguing and terrifying stories and animated nightmares.
The program will also feature the latest feature-length animations, which have achieved tremendous success at the world's most important festivals. We will start with "Little Amélie or the Character of Rain" (dir. Maïlys Vallade, Liane-Cho Han, France 2025), nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe in the category of Best Animated Film, then we will present a restored copy of the animation "Angel's Egg" by Japanese visionary Mamoru Oshii (Japan 1985).
