Here are the winners of the Polish Filmmakers Association Awards in the field of animated films for 2023

Third time the Board of the AnimatedFilm Section has the pleasure to present industry awards for authors and coauthors of animated films. The aim of presenting industry AWARDS is, first of all, to honour and to award in professional categories which result from, among others, the stages and process of animated film production. The originator and initiator of the Awards is the Board of the Animated Film Section of the Polish Filmmakers Association. This year’s Winners of the Award’23 were selected by the members of the Competition Jury consisting of the Chair of the Jury – Alicja Witkowska – director, animator, scriptwriter and lecturer; Joanna Jasińska Koronkiewicz – director, animator and lecturer; Tomasz Siwiński – director, animator, scriptwriter; Maria Deskur – producer; Andrzej Gosieniecki – director, animator. The jury watched 51 animated films.
The awards were given in nine categories and the winners are:
BEST AUTEUR FILM
The award for the best auteur film goes to Paweł Prewencki for the filmLack
The Special mention goes to Witold Giersz for the film HorsePortrait
BEST FILM/SERIES FOR CHILDREN
The award for the best film/series for children goes to Zbigniew Kotecki forA Great Worry
The Special mention goes to Tomasz Ducki for the filmAsiunia
BEST DEBUT
The award for the best debut goes to Natalia Durszewicz for the filmWait for me in a Dream
The Special mention goes toMonika Augustyniak-Dumała for the filmWhite Room
BEST ANIMATION IN A FILM
The award for the best animation in a film goes to Anna Polińska, Joanna Szlembarska for the film Composition from Existing Experiences
Special mention goes toMichalina Musialik, Justyna Pazdan for the film Nutcracker Girl
BEST GRAPHIC DESIGN
The award for the best graphic design goes to Joanna Rusinek, Małgorzata Dróżdż, Anna Waćkowska, Maryia Yakimovich, Maria Gӧrlich-Opyd for the filmThe Sleeplessness of Jutka
BEST SCREENPLAY
The award for the best screenplay goes to Wojciech Lepianka for the film The Bear Named Wojtek
The Special mention goes to Marta Chyła-Janickia for the film She Cat Him
BEST PHOTOGRAPHY
The award for the best photography goes to Piotr Matysiak for the filmIn Side
BEST SOUND/MUSIC
The award for the best sound/music goes to Michał Krajczok for the films Cosmic Routine and Outside
The Special mention goes to Sebastian Ładyżyński for the music for the filmWait for Me in a Dream
THE WŁADYSŁAW NEHREBECKI AWARD FOR THE BEST STUDENT FILM
The Władysław Nehrebecki Award for the best student film goes ex aequo to Maksymilian Rzontkowski for the film Martyr’s Guidebook and Zofia Klamka for the film Sheep Out
Honorable mentions go to Sara Sawicka for the filmCohesionand Sara Szymańska for the film Opening Night
