


Director, screenwriter and producer. In his youth, he was passionate about computer animation, which he learned all by himself by reading industry magazines and analyzing the sequences of frames he was interested in following the “reverse engineering” principle. He was planning to study at the Łódź Film School, but back then computer animation was not highly regarded. Because of that he started to study architecture at the Technical University in Warsaw.
In his second year, in 1997, he started the production of the film Rain that won the "YoungElectronicsArts" 3D graphics competition and opened the door for him at the advertising agency Platige Image. It was in Platige Image where in 2002 he made The Cathedral, for which he won his Oscar nomination. He dropped out of university when in his fourth year to make animations. In 2002 he made Fallen Art (which won a BAFTA Award), and in 2009 – The Kinematograph.
He has been making animations, game intros, commercials and films for years – from Penderecki and ESA to Polish Legends. Since 2018 he has worked as creative producer of The Witcher series for Netflix; he was also the co-author of Into the Night (2020).
In 2023 he had his debut as the director of a Hollywood feature Knights of the Zodiac for Sony. Currently, he has been working on projects for Dukaj Games, including the video game adaptation of The Cathedral. Bagiński is associated with Platige Image as shareholder and collaborator.
