The section in which you would like to work:
*
Reception desk(very good knowledge of Polish and English required, knowledge of other languages will be an advantage)
Your task will be to support the reception desk, located in the main festival location throughout the event. Our guests, the media and the public will be there. Your job will be to answer their questions, help them find their way around the festival, provide information about the programme and sell tickets. If you love contact with people and can find your way in any situation, are fluent in English, want to be at the heart of the festival and no question about the programme frightens you - welcome at the reception desk!
Organization of the audience / Taking care of the festival facilities(very good knowledge of Polish and English required, knowledge of other languages will be an advantage)
This is the most numerous section that has the most contact with our audience. Your tasks will include checking tickets before screenings and controlling the situation in the auditorium, as well as helping the audience if necessary. You will also take care of the audience poll - distributing the voting lists and then counting the votes of our public. If the smile never leaves your face, you enjoy interacting with people and you dream of watching as many films as possible - this section is for you!
ADDITIONALLY: Our festival strives to be an accessible and friendly event, every year we host people with disabilities who may sometimes need extra support. Again this year we will need the help of volunteers who are willing to commit more strongly to supporting them. If you are willing to help in this area, we will train you and prepare you accordingly. Cultural accessibility is a very important topic and we are trying to do our part.
Technical support / Production(very good knowledge of Polish and English required, knowledge of other languages will be an advantage)
In this section you will experience most powerfully what organising a festival behind the scenes is all about. We will need your support in installing and dismantling the festival, including the festival centre and the exhibitions accompanying our film programme. During the festival, your help will come in handy wherever logistical and technical support is needed - during the handling of exhibitions, during Q&A sessions or the festival's closing and opening gala. If you're all over the place, love working as part of a team and want to find out what the production of a festival looks like - you're welcome!
Taking care of guests(very good knowledge of Polish and English required, knowledge of other languages will be an advantage)
This section is responsible for supporting our guests during their stay in Krakow and at the festival. Your task will be to pick them up from the airport or train station and help them get to their hotel, meeting, screening or jury session. We want them to feel at home with us. If you know Krakow like the back of your hand, are fluent in English and have no problem making contacts, this section is for you. We will provide you with all the necessary information and support for your work.
Workshops team(very good knowledge of Polish and English required, knowledge of other languages will be an advantage)
Workshops, for children, young people and adults alike, are a permanent part of the festival programme. Every year, we give our audience the chance to have a closer encounter with the world of animation and to create something beautiful themselves. Helping to organise a workshop not only gives you the opportunity to get to know various animation techniques up close, but also the exceptional artists and creatives who lead the workshops. Your job will be to prepare the space, the materials needed and assist in running the workshop. If animation is your passion, you enjoy interacting with people and can support the creative process with patience, then you will enjoy this section!ADDITIONALLY: You can combine working in this section with volunteering with another festival team.
Social media
If you have new ideas for reels every day, your gallery is full of aesthetically pleasing shots, you love being in the centre of events and Instagram has no secrets for you, then we are looking for you! Your job will be to create content for the festival's social media and document selected highlights. Familiarity with tools such as Canva, CapCut or similar for creating social media content is important. You will be working on your own equipment - a phone with a good camera and laptop will be needed.
