Published at the end of last year, a report by the European Audiovisual Observatory as well as a report “Equal Chances in Cinematography in Poland” (from February 2023), co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, on the participation of women in artistic film professions in the last few years still state considerable disparities. Stressing the role of women in the film industry, the 30^th IFF Etiuda&Anima is planning to organize a seminar on the issue of gender equality in Polish and European cinematography.

We invited professionally active directors, cinematographers, editors and film music composers as well as female students from Polish  film and music schools since being a festival promoting student creativity, we believe in grassroots changes.
