Snow White with Miss God’s voice

Added:

Silent Snow White and loud Miss God – we are happy to invite you to silent movie and live music evening. One of the most interesting representants of young polish music scene – Miss God – is going to accompany Pablo Berger’s Snow White.

Śnieżka_16.11The tale of Snow White by the Brothers Grimm retold. The plot of the film is set in the 1920s Seville. The protagonist, little Carmen, never had the chance to meet her beautiful mother who died prematurely. Her father, once a famous toreador, neglects his daughter under the influence of his new evil wife. The soulless stepmother hates Carmen and one day decides to get rid of her once and for all. However, the girl manages to escape. She meets a merry band of dwarves – “little bullfighters” who welcome her into their group and start calling her “Snow White”. Under the influence of her new companions, Carmen tries her strength in corridas. Snow White was made as a silent film. Berger’s feature is compared to the multiple Oscar-winning Artist (2011) by Michel Hazanavicius. Both films evoke a feeling of nostalgia towards the heyday of silent films.

The screening will be accompanied by live music performed by Miss God
