Jury consisting of Andrzej Pągowski (President of the Jury), Dahee Jeong, Anna Mantzaris and Andrzej Orzechowski, after watching fifty three films, decided to award the following prizes:
For a powerful message and the economy of artistic expression. For courage, sensitivity, excellent animation and a great choice of actors, whose voices make the image even more credible — a true success in these difficult times, when the issue of dying with dignity resounds ever so strongly.
For a precise screenplay, a visual layer that fits the subject matter and the method of narration and, first and foremost, for telling the story of a serious family drama in a playful form and making creative use of the possibilities offered by traditional, hand-drawn animation.
For bold directing decisions and an exceptional sensitivity in observing the psyche of men and its fragility which, in the face of danger, often makes us turn a blind eye to another man’s suffering.
