BOVSKA
„Bovska is not just a person, she’s a personality! Appealing, intriguing, surprising, soothing and working like a good black coffee. You can’t describe her in several words, she needs to by listened to, listened into and completely devoted to.” – that’s what Bovska’s fans say about her.
Bovska, alias Magda Grabowska-Wacławek was born in 1985 in Warsaw. She graduated from The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music and Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Aside from composing her own songs she also happened to write music for a string orchestra and for animated movies. About herself she says: “Ideator of songs that meander with music and lyrics. She breaks through the reality, even though sometimes she loses focus. Dreaming of a matchbox overlooking the clouds smelling like soil.”
Bovska’s song “Kaktus” were used in TV series “Druga szansa”.

NIK PHELPS AND STANISŁAW SŁOWIŃSKI QUINTET
Nik Phelps and Stanisław Sławiński Quintet are going to accompaniate contemporary animated movies.
Nik Phepls doesn’t need to be introduced. Outstanding american saxist, who worked with such personalities as Frank Zappa, Jo Lemaire, Eric Johnson, Lou Rawls. For about ten years he has been working with Tom Waits on music projects like: „The Black Rider”, „Bunny”, „Mule” „Variations to Alice”, „Blood Money” and „Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers and Bastards”. Currently he lives in Belgium, working and giving concerts with groups The Sprocket Ensemble, JazzDelivery, The Farfoel Trio and The Cabaretti Orchestra.
Since 1995 he is composing music for animated movies including CBS TV series “The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat”. In 1996 he was nominated for an ASIFA Annie Award for his music. In the same year he founded the Sprocket Ensemble - a project that combines live music and animation. Presently he is composing for such animation artist as Nina Paley, Bill Plympton, Lei Lei and Ivan Maximov.
Stanisław Słowiński Quintet
Czerpiąc inspiracje z klasyki polskiego jazzu i pozostając pod silnym wpływem bogactwa sonoryzmu i rozbudowanych form muzyki współczesnej, grupa stawia sobie za priorytet pracę nad indywidualnym brzmieniem zespołu, zbudowanym na wypadkowej zawartych w muzyce emocji.
Członkowie grupy mają na swoim koncie udział w licznych konkursach i festiwalach (m.in.: Jazz Juniors 2015 – Grand Prix i Nagroda Specjalna, I Międzynarodowy Jazzowy Konkurs Skrzypcowy im. Zbigniewa Seiferta – Nagroda Publiczności, Nine Gates Jazz Festival Pekin, WOMAD Chile, Open’er Festival, Off Festival, Męskie Granie, SlotArt Festival); koncertują regularnie w Polsce, większości krajów europejskich, a także poza granicami kontynentu.

Stanisław Słowiński is a violinist, arranger, composer, music producer, multi-instrumentalist. Winner of the Grand Prix on 39. International Contest of Young Jazz Ensembles Jazz Juniors with his own project, Stanisław Słowiński Quintet. Laureate of the 1st International Zbigniew Seifert Jazz Violin Competition. Laureate of the City of Cracow Creativity Scholarship in 2014.
As a leader of authors projects, sideman and cooperating with many chamber and symphonic orchestras (including Sinfonietta Cracovia, Cracow Chamber Orchestra) he is giving concerts all around the country and abroad. He has been working with such world-famous artists as: Brian Eno, Ben Frost, Daniel Bjarnason, Elliot Goldenthal, Diego Navarro, Ludwig Wicki, Joe Hisaishi, Robert Kabara, Joanna Słowińska, Paweł Kaczmarczyk, Piotr Orzechowski.

REBEL BABEL – L.U.C and Representational Orchestra of AGH
REBEL BABEL is a set of concerts, performances and flash mobs, that use music to carry positive vibes to the audience, upgrade traditions and reach out to people who are not allowed to participate in all areas of culture. The artists will try to mix European hip-hop and funk culture with sound of local brass bands making good use of differences between various languages.
L.U.C. alias Łukasz Rostkowski – composer, lyrics writer, vocalist, performer, gas fitter, Master of Law and director of music videos and concerts. After seven years of law studies he got to legal apprenticeship. Unfortunately, the day he was going to make a pledge he happened to be already engaged to meet Zgas – his friend, beatboxer. To pay tribute to sweatsuit and to keep his word, he never started the apprenticeship. Since that day he completely devoted to his greatest passion – art.
He is an author and believer of many concepts like 4 Galaxies of Art, assuming that contents should be created by connecting four fields of art – music, words, film and graphics. His courage and consistence in his work, his eclecticism and unconventional ideas of film, music and lyrics leaded him to winning many awards and nominations in some of the most important contests (like Paszport Polityki, Yach, Mateusze Trójki, Warto, Wrocławska Nagroda Muzyczna, Ale Sztuka!, Gwarancje TVP Kultury, Fryderyki).
He is also much appreciated by listeners for being so charismatic and giving such a creative concerts, both alone and with mini-orchestras, sometimes with chickens, garden tools or an Arabic fortunetellers. His artistic output includes ten albums, five of which are conceptual ones, composed music for many spectacles and short videos. His music stands somewhere between nu jazz, trip-hop, hip-hop, electro, classics and movie themes. He occurred to compose and record with many outstanding vocalists and instrumentalists like Urszula Dudziak, Zbigniew Namysłowski, Michał Urbaniak, Leszek Możdżer and Maria Peszek. He also played as a support before Tricky, The Prodigy, Skunk Anansie.
Representational Orchestra of AGH exists since 2001. It was founded as a part of AGH Students and Graduates Foundation “ACADEMICA” under the auspice of vice-rector for education. In the beginning it included only several members. Now there is 45 of them. Orchestra associates students from various Cracow colleges, and above all from AGH.
The band plays many kinds of music – mostly light music and movie themes. Orchestra also happened to play with other music bands (like Pogodno) and cabarets (like Dno). ORAGH plays also cyclical concerts in music clubs and participates in cultural events in Cracow (Noc Naukowców, Dni Nauki, Mediatory and others).
