23. International Film Festival Etiuda&Anima and Pauza In Garden have the pleasure of inviting you to a unique exhibition of Marian Cholerk's “Polish Royal Eagles from the Soviet Watches”.

In addition to the Polish Royal Eagles built from the Soviet watches, the exhibition will also feature still frames from Marian Cholerek's films. Everyday at 7:00 pm there will be a screening of the artist's animations from the cycle “Only for adults”.

Marian Cholerek was born in Bielsko-Biała in 1946. He is a director, screen play writer and author of artistic designs for animated films. He attended the School of Art Technique. In 1969 he started work in the Animated Film Studio in Bielsko-Biała, first as a phase designer, and later as an animator. In 1973 he had his directing debut. His output includes original adult films (for example Tomorrow, awarded in Poland and abroad, The Shooting Range, The Ploughman and Departing Flights), many episodes of the popular children`s series (Rex, Bolek and Lolek, Professor Sponge`s Expedition and other), music videos (for example It`s getting darker by Maanam, Love always wins and Something`s wrong by Shakin` Dudi) as well as commercials. He runs his own Studio M in Bielsko-Biała. He has been awarded many prizes at festivals (Oberhausen, Tehran, Bratislava, Krakow and Lodz, among others). He has been realizing his original idea of reliefs with surfaces decorated with watch movements, including the so-called chronometric eagles, which he gives to personages he holds in high regard.
