Hendrik Ströhle is a young filmmaker from Stuttgart - Germany. In his documentaries, he depicts socially challenging themes while approaching his protagonists on an intimate level. He has been studying directing with a focus on documentary film at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy since 2018.
With his debut film Touch me he won the Grand Prix Golden Dinosaur at the Etiuda&Anima Festival in Kraków in 2021. He was also shortlisted for the Student Bafta Awards by the British Academy and has won several awards in Germany and Austria.
Currently he is working on a documentary film, dealing with survivors and perpetrators of gender-based violence in Namibia.
