In his youth, he was passionate about computer animation, which he learned all by himself by reading industry magazines and analyzing the sequences of frames he was interested in following the \u201creverse engineering\u201d principle. He was planning to study at the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Film School, but back then computer animation was not highly regarded. Because of that he started to study architecture at the Technical University in Warsaw. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his second year, in 1997, he started the production of the film <strong><em>Rain<\/em> <\/strong>that won the \"YoungElectronicsArts\" 3D graphics competition and opened the door for him at the advertising agency Platige Image. It was in Platige Image where in 2002 he made <strong><em>The<\/em> <em>Cathedral<\/em><\/strong><em>,<\/em> for which he won his Oscar nomination. He dropped out of university when in his fourth year to make animations. In 2002 he made <em><strong>Fallen Art<\/strong><\/em> (which won a BAFTA Award), and in 2009 \u2013 <strong><em>The<\/em> <em>Kinematograph<\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has been making animations, game intros, commercials and films for years \u2013 from Penderecki and ESA to <em><strong>Polish Legends<\/strong><\/em>. Since 2018 he has worked as creative producer of <strong><em>The<\/em> <em>Witcher<\/em><\/strong> series for Netflix; he was also the co-author of <em><strong>Into the Night<\/strong><\/em> (2020).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023 he had his debut as the director of a Hollywood feature <em><strong>Knights of the Zodiac<\/strong><\/em> for Sony. Currently, he has been working on projects for Dukaj Games, including the video game adaptation of <em><strong>The Cathedral<\/strong><\/em>.
