An award-winning animation director from Budapest, Hungary. He studied at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest (MOME), where he made his MA graduation short Rabbit and Deer <\/em>which won over 125 festival awards worldwide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

P\u00e9ter has since directed two stop-motion music videos for James <\/strong>(All I\u2019m Saying<\/strong>, Dear John<\/strong><\/em>), the live-action short Pillowface<\/strong><\/em>, and several animated poem adaptations. His most recent short film, Dog Ear<\/strong><\/em> (Kutyaf\u00fcl)<\/em> explores a personal childhood experience. The film premiered in Annecy in 2025 and has won 33 awards since then, including the Silver Jabberwocky<\/strong> at the 32nd Etiuda&Anima International Film Festival<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond filmmaking, he teaches stop-motion and animation workshops globally. He was the artistic director of Illy\u00e9s Animation Academy<\/strong> and since 2023 the president and founding member of the Hungarian Society of Animation Artists<\/strong> (AA1) advocating for the growth of the industry. Since 2025 P\u00e9ter is doing his DLA research at the MOME Doctoral School<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
