Author: Jerzy Armata<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n \/ FREE ADMISSION \/<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Is a publication that comprehensively presents the achievements of Polish auteur animation \u2013 from historical and genre perspectives \u2013 by discussing the work of its most outstanding representatives, from the times of Jan Lenica and Walerian Borowczyk to the youngest artists who already enjoy a well-established position on the global animation scene, with Marta Pajek being a prime example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The book contains 50 essays discussing the artistic output of the greatest masters of Polish animation (+ an epilogue devoted to up-and-coming young artists with modest output to date). It is accompanied by 4 DVDs with 53 films created by the artists featured in the book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201dAt the beginning of this century, I produced a 36-episode documentary series for Polish Television titled Anima<\/em>, devoted to the output of the most outstanding Polish animation artists. This album, containing an analysis of the leading fifty artists (to be precise \u2013 there are 52 of them), complemented with a selection of their best films (to be precise \u2013 there are 53 films), is an extension of that concept\u201d, writes the book\u2019s author in the introduction. The essays devoted to the masters of Polish animation are preceded by an Intro (<\/em>A Bit of History)<\/em> and concluded with an Outro (Towards Mastery). The book also includes a documentary section (Biofilmographies \/ Bibliography \/ Discography \/ Filmography).<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Film and music critic. Member of the Polish Film Academy. Curator and jury member at numerous film festivals. Member of the Board of the Literature Section of the Polish Filmmakers Association, the Polish section of FIPRESCI (the International Federation of Film Critics). Author of numerous press articles, television and radio programs, as well as the author of over a dozen and co-author of several dozen books, primarily on film-related topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Winner of awards from the Polish Film Institute, the Society of Authors ZAiKS, the Platinum Goats at the International Young Audience Film Festival \u201cAle Kino!\u201d in Pozna\u0144. Awarded the Bronze (2013) and Gold (2025) Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture.
