Today begins the second day of the festival in Ma\u0142opolski Ogr\u00f3d Sztuki (MOS) at Rajska 12 street and all the events planned for today are taking place there. There is a day full of unforgettable attractions ahead of us! And what exactly is waiting for us?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 3 p.m., the first screening of Etiuda\u2019s competition will happen in MOS\u2019s Small Hall. During this event, our guests will see five film productions, such as Polish\u00a0COUNT MY LOV3<\/strong>, directed by Ewa Japola, or German\u00a0On the Brink<\/strong>, directed by Stephanie Olthoff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simultaneously to the event mentioned above, another one is going to take place also at 3 p.m. in MOS\u2019s Big Hall. This particular event will focus on playing chosen films, both \u00e9tudes and animations, that had been awarded throughout the years of the festival. You will get the chance to watch Bulgarian film\u00a0The Go-Between<\/strong>\u00a0(directed by Dragomir Sholev), the winner of The Golden Dinosaur trophy in 2009, and British-Canadian animation\u00a0Affairs of the Art<\/strong>\u00a0(directed by Joanna Quinn), the winner of The Golden Jabberwocky trophy in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have also created an attraction for you, that is not strictly connected to films \u2013 and it is a unique exhibition called WymiAR<\/strong> (the combination of the Polish word dimension and English phrase virtual reality, which is a pun in Polish language) organised by Academic Circle \u201eSquare\u201d, KEN University\u2019s Institute of Art and Design in Cracow and The International Film Festival Etiuda&Anima. This exhibition is an incredible journey through mysteries of extensive outer space and virtual space! The vernissage is taking place on the 22nd of November at 7 p.m., and the exhibition will be opened from the 22nd to the 25th of November, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. During this exhibition, the guests can admire brilliant works of authors, such as Samuel Kawczak, Anna Riabchenko and Anastazja Tsybulska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, we decided to introduce something brand new in our festival \u2013 to be exact, we created a special VR Corner<\/strong> (located in MOS\u2019S Main Hall), which allows us to experience animation in completely new way! For our VR Corner, we chose three fantastic animations that were awarded during the most important animation festivals around the world, like From The Main Square<\/strong>, directed by Pedro Harres. The admission is free and you can visit VR Corner from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 5 p.m., we invite you again to MOS\u2019s Big Hall, where the first screening of Anima competition will take place. During this part of the evening, we are going to play seven animations, including titles like\u00a0In The Upper Room<\/strong>\u00a0from Hungary, directed by Alexander Gratzer,\u00a0Bird in the Peninsula<\/strong>\u00a0from France and Japan, directed by Atsushi Wada, and\u00a0Crab Day<\/strong>\u00a0from Great Britain, directed by Ross Stringer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 5:30 p.m., in MOS\u2019s Small Hall, there will be the second screening of Etiuda competition of the evening, where the guests will continue watching this year nominated works. There are five titles waiting for you in the programme \u2013 for example Polish \u00e9tude\u00a0Alcibiades<\/strong>\u00a0in direction of Robert Kwilman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last event planned for Wednesday is the festival\u2019s official inauguration, whose beginning is planned for 8 p.m. in MOS\u2019s Big Hall. For this event, we prepared the screening of the three great film positions \u2013 Belgian\u00a0Harpya<\/strong>, directed by Raoul Servais from 1979 (awarded with the Palme d'Or), British\u00a0The Albatross<\/strong>, directed by Paul Bush from 1998, and French\u00a0Chicken for Linda!<\/strong>, directed by Chiara Malta and S\u00e9bastien Laudenbach from 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
