workshops, speeches, discussions, screenings, meetings with experts,\nlectures, etc. - the culture has great power, education through the\nparticipation of recipients has the greatest potential for festivals to\nintroduce changes<\/li><li>spreading flower bombs (they contain seeds, for\nexample, of wild herbs, and they can be scattered in random places where plants\nhave a chance to grow and thus propagate biodiversity and valiant pollinators)<\/li><li>making bags\/backpacks from recycled materials, e.g.\nbanners<\/li><li>implementing festival bug or insect houses<\/li><li>introducing fruit\/vegetable packs prepared in\ncooperation with local producers, e.g. eco-friendly \u201cparsley\u201d fairs,\ninitiatives aimed at reducing food waste (e.g. Too Good To Go - they are already\nhuge and probably expensive, but there are smaller initiatives, too, that work\non a similar principle) \u2192 e.g. preparing several sets of food to be handed over,\nallocating them by a \"less-waste partner\" and handing them over to\nthe festival so that festival guests or the audience could choose from them and\ndecide to buy, for example, a package of \"bad-looking\" parsley, which\nwill not sell in a supermarket<\/li><li>limiting or resigning from some prints - programs,\ncatalogs, posters, leaflets<\/li><li>using lanyards and badges (generally any available resources,\nas much as possible) from previous editions e.g. having a set of \"neutral lanyards\"\nto be used in the future regardless of the edition\u2019s visual identification, or using\nrecycled lanyards - those that have been left over from the previous edition (this\nwill make the event more colorful and environmentally friendly)<\/li><li>using vegetarian\/vegan catering only<\/li><li>providing access to drinking water and encouraging\naudience members to bring their own reusable water bottles<\/li><li>offsetting events - calculating the carbon footprint\nof the event and determining actions that would neutralize it - e.g. by\nplanting trees (you can also introduce voluntary donations for this purpose,\ne.g. if someone arrives at the festival by plane from outside Poland, s\/he is\nproposed to donate xPLN, if s\/he comes from Poland it is xPLN, etc. \u2013 in this\ncase, the carbon footprint of the trip can also be calculated)<\/li><li>encouraging participants to use public transport<\/li><li>using the services of local suppliers<\/li><li>economic and ecological planning of transportation and\nother logistics of all festival activities<\/li><li>creating shared refrigerators, or freedges - if people\nparticipating in the event have some provisions that they will not consume,\nthey can leave it in the refrigerator and someone else can take it \u2013 as an\nalternative to throwing it away<\/li><li>preparing an appropriate number of litter bins\/garbage\ndischarge points<\/li><li>managing sewage\/water\nconsumption responsibly<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>organizing of accompanying events with eco-friendly profile -
