Also the 28th Etiuda &amp; Anima will be held mostly on-line. The organizers of this year's edition do not give up the traditional form of the event. They want to meet the festival's participants on November 16 during the ceremonial inauguration at the Kij\u00f3w Centrum cinema in Krakow at the screening of the animated film <strong><em>My Sunny Maad<\/em><\/strong> (2021, dir. Michaela Pavl\u00e1tov\u00e1). The film premiered at this year's Annecy festival and tells the story of a Czech woman named Herra who, after marrying an Afghan Nazir, moves to his homeland, trying to assimilate into post-Taliban Afghanistan. This year's competition\nincludes films by students and professional filmmakers made in the years\n2019-2021. The films competing for the awards will be available online on the\nstreaming platform both for viewers from all over Poland and for jurors, who\nwill also give their awards in this mode. Competition screenings will also be\naccompanied by online Q&amp;A meetings with filmmakers, jurors and guests who\nwill participate in the festival from a distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year's competition-related\nevents include, among others presentations of other festivals and selected\nEuropean schools. This year we will look at Dutch and Spanish animation, and\nthe programs will be prepared by partner festivals: the Kaboom Animation\nFestival taking place in the Netherlands and the Spanish Animac Film Festival.\n28. Etiuda &amp; Anima will also present the 10 best Hungarian short films from\nthe last 20 years, selected by Geza M. Toth, a recognized Hungarian animator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the 28th Etiuda &amp; Anima International Film Festival, it will also be possible to recall experimental animated films by artists from the Antoniszczak family - Ryszard and Julian (known under the abbreviated name Antonisz) - and the Chrzanowski family; Andrei and Ilya, whose famous feature film <strong><em>DAU. The organizers of the festival also remember about the youngest viewers, which is why they invite all children to educational animations entitled <strong><em>Even mice go to heaven<\/em><\/strong> (2021, dir. Jan Buben\u00ed\u010dek, Denisa Grimmov\u00e1), and the Calamity, a <strong>Childhood of Martha Jane Cannary<\/strong> (2020, dir. R\u00e9mi Chay\u00e9). We invite you to the screenings of both films on Tuesday, November 16 at the Kij\u00f3w Centrum cinema in Krakow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year's program also includes animation workshops for adults and children, which will be held stationary. Ecological workshops for the youngest will be conducted by Daria Gody\u0144. The issues of eco will also be the main idea of \u200b\u200bthe masterclass panel entitled <strong><em>How to organize an ecological festival?<\/em><\/strong> During this year's edition of the festival, the results of the art competition of students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, entitled \"Photographic memory\". The screening of films will be accompanied by a lecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Etiuda &amp; Anima 2021 will remind the figures of outstanding filmmakers who died last year. On this occasion, Krakow's Kij\u00f3w Centrum cinema will screen one of the films most appreciated by Professor Helman - <strong><em>Death in Venice<\/em><\/strong> (1971), directed by Luchin Visconti. The screening of the legendary adaptation of the novel by Thomas Mann will be accompanied by a screening of the documentary <strong><em>The most beautiful boy in the world<\/em><\/strong> (2021, dir. Kristina Lindstr\u00f6m, Kristian Petri). The documentary tells the story of Bj\u00f6rn Andresen, who as a 15-year-old boy starred in the film by the Italian master.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The closing gala of the 28th Etiuda &amp; Anima, during which we will know the lucky winners of all competitions, will be held on Sunday, November 21 at the Kij\u00f3w Centrum cinema. After the official part, the screenings of all awarded films of Etiuda &amp; Anima 2021 will begin.
