22. edition of International Film Festival Etiuda&Anima had come to an end. Behind us six hot days, which fruited with movie, musical and trade events.<\/p>\n

\"448On Monday we had as a guest in Krak\u00f3w William Kentridge, who got from honoured Japanese animator, Sayoko Kinoshity presitigious ASIFA award. Etiuda&Anima also said goodbye to Marcin Wrona \u2013 director, who made his debut at our festival.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday Estonian Kaspar Jancis gave us hooligan animation during \u201eSelf Portraits of Animation Authors\u201d. That day we were able to see short stories of Nederlandse Filmacademie from Netherlands, awarded with Special Golden Dragon for best film school of IFF Etiuda&Anima 2014 and also see unusual document by Eduardo Calvet \u201eBetween Frames. The Art of Brasilian Animation\u201d. In Rotunda screening 5\/10 took place \u2013 second five French short movies of creators from circle of New Wave choosen by profesor Tadeusz Lubelski.<\/p>\n

\"ErotykaWenesday without a doubt belonged to Signe Baumane, Latvian animator, who lives and works in New York. Baumane stole hearts of audience during second part of \u201eSelf Portraits of Animation Authors\u201d. Artist was drawing pictures on subject choosen by audience, told colourful stories from her life and presented hitherto works. On Wenesday viewers watched prewar productions made for BATA company: commercials and documents about Zlin, short movie \u201eSlovensko 2.0\u201d, and also first part of \u201e100 Years of Swedish Animation\u201d \u2013 two-part screening presenting history of animation in Sweden. On evening at Rotunda we could listen to concert od Krak\u00f3w collective.<\/p>\n

Thursday started with magical \u201eHoudini\u201d \u2013 French animation for kids, telling about one ofe greatest illusionists, in evening we showed \u201eLittle from the Fish Shop\u201d by Jan Balej, fairy tale for adults inspired by \u201cLittle Mermaid\u201d by H. Ch. Andersen. Screening of document \u201eEurope under Siege\u201d by Poul-Eric Heilbuth and Hans B\u00fclow created chance for conversation about emigration problems of nowdays Europe.<\/p>\n

\"M\u0142odziOn Friday emotions were fired up by creening of \u201eBaby Bump\u201d by Kuba Czekaj, who got distinction Queer Lion at festival in Venice. At Saturday\u2019s Case Study producers of \u201eBaby Bump\u201d talked about how to make a movie within a year. During Friday screenings audience could see best movies of French schools of animation, and also professional and students\u2019 animations from Colombia. At Rotunda was a screening of silent movie \u201eSnow White\u201d, to which Miss God played and sang live. Day eneded by \u201eGalactic Meander\u201d by Andrzej Jacek Bronikowski with improvisations of outsatnding pianist Pawe\u0142 Kaczmarczyk. That day Maciej Drygas and Miros\u0142aw Dembi\u0144ski, iniciators of international movie project \u201eWorld from Dawn til Dusk\u201d, got Special Golden Dinosaur for artists and teachers.<\/p>\n

Last day of festiwal gave audience much of emotions. At Rotunda for the first time in Poland document \u201eQuay\u201d by Christopher Nolan was screened, being insight into the depth of Timothy and Stephena Quay\u2019 workshop. Movie was accompanied by brothers; three animations: \u201eIn Absentia\u201d, \u201eStreet of Crocodiles\u201d and \u201eComb\u201d. It was big rarity for lovers of cinema, because all movies were screened from 35mm tape. On Saturday we watched also cult Swedish animation\u2013 \u201eThe Journey to Melonia\u201d by Per \u01fahlin, commercials by master of movie absurd, Roy Andersson and Polish making of from plans of Polish film productions.<\/p>\n

\"etiudaOn evening during closing ceremony, gracing end of festiwal, we got to know winners of this year\u2019s ETIUDA and ANIMA competitions and winners of distinctions. Golden Dinosaur for best short movie went to Mexican movie \u201e400 Bags\u201d directed by Fernanda Valadez, and Golden Jabberwocky \u201eErlking\u201d directed by Georges Schwizgebel from Switzerland. Best movie school of festival was Centro de Capacitaci\u00f3n Cinematogr\u00e1fica of Mexico. During post-festival Sunday we could see all winning movies of 22. IFF ETIUDA&ANIMA.<\/p>\n
