Big screening room
There are people who love Howard Lovecraft’s horror and that’s it. Among them were those who translated his story into a movie. But the translation covered also the technique of making of the film itself. And this is how this mysterious forgery of a silent movie was brought to life in times when three dimensional movies are screened in theatres.
“The Call of Cthulhu” is a story of an uncanny figurine that houses a demon. It’s about madness, multidimensional cities, swamps, wild tribes’ secret ceremonials, and unwearied travelers with expressionistic make-up on their eyelids.
The music of Południca! is not the official soundtrack for the movie. The band enriches the movie with self-made deceitful sounds, electronic sounds pretending to be nature. Using digital bits and converters they generate gurgling swamps, shaman chants and jazz swing.
