Special mention

  • Tot het einde van de wereld /Do końca świata/Till the End of the World, the Netherlands 2018, Nederlandse Filmacademie, dir. Florence Bouvy – from a child’s point of view the film offers a deeply moving portrait of a fragile and troublesome relationship between father and daughter.

 

Award in the form of a contribution-in-kind worth 5,000 PLN for the author of the best cinematography in a Polish student short film, funded bythe Heliograf company

Justification: For the precise dramatic narration, in which the author talks about the essentials using economical, but not trivial, cinematic techniques. What deserves the highest praise is the author’s humanism, so important these days, which manifests itself in the ability to acknowledge intimate human dramas in a world of inhumane treatment, and in the artistic ethics that brings back honour to all victimsof military activity in Sarajevo.
