Lucija Mrzljak

(born in 1990 in Zagreb) Croatian animation film director and illustrator, based in Estonia. She started to draw her first animated flipbooks as a child and as a teenager joined a film laboratory where she made her first experimental films on 8 mm and 16 mm analog film. She studied animation at the Academies of Fine Arts in Zagreb, Krakow, Prague and Tallinn. After completing her MA of Animation in Estonia as a student of Priit and Olga Parn, she decided to stay in Tallinn and since then works in Joonisfilm Studio. Her student films Shuma and Kut were screened at numerous film festivals around the world. During 2016 Etiuda&Anima festival those films brought her the Great Underestimated prize granted by the artistic director of the festival. In 2018, she won the Golden Jabberwocky for the film A Demonstration of Brilliance in Four Acts, which she made with Morten Tšinakov. Besides animation, she works as a freelance illustrator for children books and international political magazines.

Izabela Plucińska

Born in Koszalin in Poland on 06.10.1974. She graduated from Lodz National Fine Arts Conservatory, National Polish Film School in Lodz and National German Film School “Konrad Wolf” Potsdam- Babelsberg. In 2004, her graduate film project "Jam Session" was selected for the short film competition at the Berlin Film festival 2005, when she has been awarded with Silver Bear. "Jam Session" has been presented on over 60 international festival and won a number of international prizes. In 2006, Izabela founded her own production company "Clay Traces" in Berlin.

Morten Tšinakov

Morten Tšinakov was born in Viljandi, Estonia. He graduated from the animation department in Estonian Academy of Arts where he made two films. One of them, a puppet film titled “Pekk” has been screened in Ottawa and Stuttgart among other festivals. After graduating he co-directed “A Demonstration of Brilliance in Four Acts” with Lucija Mrzljak. The film has been shown at many festivals, including Annecy and Zagreb and has won several awards including Golden Jabberwocky at Etiuda&Anima in 2018.  At the moment Morten and Lucija are working in Tallinn on their second film.

Igor Kovalyov

He is the internationally acclaimed filmmaker, designer, animator, and director. His short films Andrei Svislotski, Hen, His wife, Bird in the Window, Flying Nansen, Milch and Before Love have received numerous awards and accolades throughout the animation and film community. Born in Kiev, Ukraine, Igor Kovalyov was the co-founder of Moscow's legendary Pilot School of Animation. The studio also housed some of the most brilliant artists in Russia including many of the current Klasky Csupo designers and animators. In 1991, Kovalyov accepted an invitation to work at Klasky Csupo's studio in Hollywood. In his time there, Kovalyov co-directed Klasky Csupo's first feature film, The Rugrats Movie and has directed the television series, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters as well as episodes of  Duckman and Rugrats, commercials and Internet shorts.
